About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Shopify SEO Executive who understands the basics of SEO and wants to grow into a data-driven e-commerce SEO professional. You will work closely with senior SEO and growth teams to improve the organic visibility, traffic, and conversions of Shopify stores.
This role is perfect for someone who has 1–2 years of practical SEO experience and is eager to specialize in Shopify + D2C SEO.

Key Responsibilities
1. On-Page Optimization
- Optimize page titles, meta descriptions, headers, alt tags
- Keyword optimization for product, collection & blog pages
- Add internal links to improve topical authority
- Create SEO-friendly content using AI tools and SEO content writers
- Identify industry niche content writers and coordinate with them for operational processes.
- Build content clusters and topical authority for commercial keywords
- Align content with TOFU–MOFU–BOFU funnel stages
2. Technical SEO (With Guidance)
- Identify and fix technical errors and broken links
- Check and maintain clean URL structure
- Optimize XML sitemap, robots.txt, canonical tags
- Ensure pages are indexed and crawlable
- Assist in resolving duplicate content issues
3. Product & Collection Page SEO (Shopify-specific)
- Optimize product descriptions using keywords & benefits
- Improve product naming, tags, and schema
- Identify best-performing pages & suggest improvements
- Help improve CTR from search results using rich snippets
4. Content SEO & Blog Management
- Perform keyword research (TOFU/MOFU/BOFU)
- Support in creating content clusters and blogs
- Optimize content for readability and search intent
- Collaborate with writers for topic ideation
5. Performance Tracking & Reporting
- Track keyword rankings, traffic trends, clicks, impressions
- Monitor results in Google Search Console & Analytics
- Prepare weekly SEO performance reports with insights
- Suggest basic improvements based on data
6. Competitor & Market Research
- Analyze competitor websites & keywords
- Benchmark top e-commerce stores’ SEO strategies
- Identify content and backlink gaps
7. CRO Support
- Review landing pages for UX and conversion improvements
- Spot issues with CTAs, banners, product layouts
- Share feedback with design teams
8. Shopify Platform Tasks
- Work with themes, meta fields, tags
- Use liquid changes (with guidance)
- Install & manage SEO-related Shopify apps
- Understand limitations & workaround techniques on Shopify
What We Expect You Already Know
- intermediate to Advance SEO concepts
- Keyword research (Ahrefs / SEMrush / Ubersuggest)
- On-page optimization techniques
- Understanding of Google’s ranking factors
- Hands-on experience with Shopify OR any e-commerce CMS
- Basic HTML knowledge
- Use of GA4, GSC, and SEO tools
- Good written communication skills
Bonus Skills (Good to Have)
- Experience with Shopify SEO apps ( SEO Plug-in, Merchant Account , Schema+ etc.Google Business Profile Optimization)
- understanding of content marketing and content clusters
- Experience working on D2C or online store SEO
- Understanding of internal linking strategies
